The Ebba Centre & Old School Cafe
Following on from our successful LEADER Funding we completed a six month building project - re-developing the Old School (our centre), and we opened our doors on the 12th May 2012. Renamed The Ebba Centre, the building is finally fit for purpose. The main contractor James Inglis did us proud with sub-contractors including Forsyths the Builders, Eye Electrical, Brian Chisholm, BK Hume, Plasterers David Windram & Co, painters Rutherfords of Coldingham, each and every one of whom went the extra mile to complete the centre on time. The building now has full insulation, double glazed windows, all new electrics, new plumbing, commercial fitted kitchen, acoustic sound panels, wifi, and hearing loop throughout. There is also a new extension incorporating a new entrance, gents toilets, an office, library, disabled WC with baby changing facilities and the added bonus of the Old School Cafe, offering home made baking, light lunches and a warm welcome. The sunny patio to the rear seats 20 inside and 20 outside.
The Main Hall is available to hire, see Booking Enquiry Form.
During 2015 we received a grant from Foundation Scotland towards heating, lighting and maintenance for which we are extremely grateful.
